Kamen Rider 1 Movie Remake Teaser

Toei has launched a teaser trailer for the new film remake of Kamen Rider 1 as part of the "Super Hero Year" project to celebrate the 45th Anniversary of the Kamen Rider franchise, as well as the 40th Anniversary of the Super Sentai franchise. Saban has licensed both franchises in the US under the names "Masked Rider" and "Power Rangers", respectively.

 

I've been a fan of the Kamen Rider franchise ever since I first watched "Kamen Rider Black" in the 90's. However, I haven't been paying too much attention to it for several years, and understandably so (either too weird or too kiddy - much like the current Power Rangers). While I don't expect it to happen, I am hoping that this remake will bring back the dark, serious drama that made the early Kamen Rider shows very appealing.

Back From The (Somewhat) Dead Hiatus..... And Xmas Week

If you notice I haven't been posting for roughly a week. That's because exactly a week ago, my laptop of 13 years went down on me. Managed to get it back up to provide time for me to backup my stuff until I got a new laptop to use. But I ain't rich, so getting a new one costs an and a leg for me.

Ultimately I ended up with getting a new laptop with double the specs from my old one. One problem. The damn thing is in Chinese.

Took me quite awhile to figure out how to change some of the navigation back to English, but most remain in Chinese. At least as of this writing, I can visit websites and post regularly.

The whole thing screwed my plans for my full review of One Punch Man and a Best of 2015 podcast. Not sure if I will continue forward with it or scrap it altogether for something new. But for now, I'll try to get everything back in order ASAP.

I've spent perhaps more than a decade following Naruto and I'm pretty much spent. This is just too much for me.

One Punch Man MAD/AMV - The HERO ~Set Fire To The Furious Fist~

In anticipation of the season finale of One Punch Man, here is the MAD/AMV video I made of the show's OP theme "The HERO ~Set Fire To The Furious Fist~", using scenes from the first 11 episodes.

Take note I was doing this using a very old laptop and I had to reduce the quality just to process it easier. Hopefully when I get a more powerful PC one of these days, I won't have any more of these issues.

I would've put this up on Youtube for easier access, but the Content ID there is such a hassle.

The fact that Republicans and Democrats aren't afraid to bomb Agrabah makes me wonder what they've been eating that placed them in this state of insanity.

So what happens to Rick and Morty when there is no Rick? Well, we get an alternate universe where Morty is the bad guy! Here's a preview of Rick & Morty #9 coming Xmas week.

One Punch Man has officially dethroned Breaking Bad as the highest rated TV series with over 5000 votes on IMDb.


On the All-Time Top Rated TV Shows list, it is currently ranked #23 and is one of only three animated shows in the Top 30 - the other two being Avatar:TLA at 15 and Rick & Morty at 9. Band of Brothers remains the Top Rated TV show of all time.

The fact that this Anime has surpassed even the expectations and popularity of Attack on Titan has pushed this series as perhaps the Anime that defines the 2010s. It is no doubt the Dragon Ball Z of this generation.

As you may or may not know, I run the podcast series "Mastertoons Podcast Xtended" (or MPX) as a spin-off of the "Mastertoons Podcast" on Youtube, where I give my own thoughts, news, and reviews on Cartoons, Anime, Comics, Games, Movies and beyond. It's been over a year since I began doing this series (though I actually did it a bit longer under a different name), and I thank my supporters for checking my channel out. As a way of reaching out to a new audiences, I've decided to create a Blogger site.

I originally wanted to name the place as "mastertoonspodcastxtended", but that's such a very long name for a website and shortening it just gives me errors (a problem I have similarly when I was shopping for a domain name). I also tried "animationnation", which was the name of my Facebook group (you can visit it here), but it was also taken.  So I came up with the name "Toon Inferno" as it was the only thing I could think of for a name of this site.

The purpose of Toon Inferno is for me to post news links, articles, videos, and personal thoughts on the world of Animation and beyond. It also serves as an alternate for those who, for whatever reason, can't access my Facebook group page, of which I post stuff there on a regular basis.
