Word has it this episode was animated by Studio TRIGGER (Kill la Kill), but it's not exactly true. It is, however, co-storyboarded by Takafumi Hori, who was the Animation Director for TRIGGER's "Little Witch Academia" and "Kill la Kill", as well providing Key Animation for "Space Patrol Luluco". Hori's other works as Key Animator and Animation Director include other non-TRIGGER works like Space Dandy Season 2, Samurai Champloo, Azumanga Daioh, Summer Wars, and even Naruto Shippuden.
